Sleepy forklift operators are no good

Would you like to have your teeth fixed by a dentist who had not slept most of the night, or heart surgery by a doctor who could hardly keep his eyes open?  Or fly with an airline pilot who only stayed awake with black coffee?

Probably not.

So why would you choose to operate a forklift or aerial lift when you are over-tired?

Employers should encourage operators to ask for less dangerous work if they are overtired, stressed or otherwise unable to concentrate on operating machinery safely.
